[서울=RNX뉴스] 박진우 기자 = Facebook to Remove Trump's Census Ads for 2020.

According to Reuters, the advertisements contain census misinformation, which goes against the platform's policy.

The ads tell visitors to fill out an “Official 2020 Congressional District Census."

"We need Patriotic Americans like YOU to respond to this census, so we can develop a winning strategy for YOUR STATE.", Trump census ad, via Facebook

Facebook originally declined to remove the ads, but have now done so after being pushed by civil rights advocates.

"There are policies in place to prevent confusion around the official U.S. Census and this is an example of those being enforced.", Spokesman Andy Stone, via statement

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi criticized Facebook over not taking action earlier.

"I know the profit motive is their business model. But it should not come at the cost of counting who is in our country, so that we can provide the services and the rest.", Nancy Pelosi, via press conference
